What is the purpose of the grant?
The competences of the federal state are reflected in the context of energy transition and divided into three thematic axes:

All companies and organisations with a legal personality based in Belgium.
How much funding is there?
The Energy Transition Fund budget for 2023 is EUR 25 million, which can be awarded as a grant to projects that meet all the relevant conditions and relate to research and development, investment in research infrastructure, or innovation by SMEs.
The aid intensity varies by category of activity:
Important note: potential applicants are expressly informed that for this November 2022 project call, priority will be given to project proposals with a requested aid rate of 80% or less.

Which projects are eligible?
It was decided to give priority in this call for projects to thematic axes 1 and 3 of the Energy Transition Fund. Projects within the “thematic axis 2 – nuclear energy applications” are eligible only to the extent and to the extent that the available budget is not allocated to project proposals within thematic axes 1 and 3.
How do I apply for funding and what are the deadlines?
The project proposal should be submitted to the Energy Transition Fund. This can be done via e-mail to the ETF mailbox (ETF.FTE@economie.fgov.be). This with the necessary attachments and documentation attached.
DEADLINE: an application can be submitted until 15 December 2023.
