Through the Flemish Partnership Water for Development, Flanders wants to use its knowledge and expertise to contribute to the realisation of the Sustainable Development Goals around safe drinking water and sanitation.
What is the purpose of the grant?
The purpose of this subsidy is to support projects that focus on drinking water and sanitation, and also have a positive influence on the climate, sustainable energy, life on the land, health and gender, among other things.
This call focuses on drinking water and sanitation projects in the South that are carried out with the involvement of several Flemish and local actors.
Who can submit an application?
The application is intended for projects born out of cooperation between at least 3 Flemish actors (1 Flemish proposer and 2 Flemish partners) and at least 1 local South actor.
The application can be submitted by local authorities, companies, associations and organizations.
How much funding is there?
A maximum of 569,000 euro is set aside for cofinancing of profitable projects.

How do I apply for funding, and what are the deadlines?
A project proposal is submitted to the Department of Environment. The grant application consists of an application form and a number of annexes, as described in the regulations.
DEADLINE: the application must be submitted by July 2022.
