The objective of the grant is to invest in new projects of green-, residual heat or energy-efficient district heating.
The application is intended for both companies and other applicants. The target group of the call is very broad, but due to the size of the projects it is mainly larger companies, administrations or municipalities that apply for support.
Please note that investments eligible for ecology support or strategic ecology support are not eligible for this investment support.
The first call of 2023 had a budget of €10 million. The budget available for the second 2023 call is €10 million supplemented by the remaining amount from the first 2023 call.
The support rate depends on the type of project, whether the applicant is a company and the size of the company.
Utility-scale green heat installations and energy-efficient heat networks with a design flow temperature on the production side of less than 70° C
Utilisation of waste heat and energy-efficient heat networks with a design supply temperature on the production side of 70°C or more
Those who invest in new projects of green heat, residual heat or energy-efficient district heating can apply for support during a call. The application for support can be made for installations that meet the following general conditions:
The installations eligible for the aid application are: useful-green-heat installations, utilisation of residual heat and energy-efficient district heating. A combination of the listed installations is also eligible. The conditions for the projects are listed below, depending on the technologies used.
From 2023, no support can be applied for useful-green-heat installations and heat networks with only heat customers subject to the requirements of the minimum share of renewable energy.
