International DUT Partnership 

The DUT (Driving Urban Transitions to a sustainable future) is a partnership under Horizon Europe. The purpose of the DUT call for proposals is to support transnational research and/or innovation projects focusing on urban challenges to help cities transition to a more sustainable economy and way of working.   

FI Group will help you with a clear project plan to make your ideas succeed and support you with a strategy to secure the necessary funding. 

What is the purpose of the grant?  

The transnational DUT partnership was established under the EU Horizon Europe framework programme, with the aim of addressing urban challenges.   

The challenges are grouped into three themes known as “transition paths”:  

1. Positive Energy Neighbourhoods   

2. 15-minute city   

3. The urban circular economy   

With the help of VLAIO and/or INNOVIRIS, businesses can apply for support from DUT. 

Who can submit an application?  

Flemish and/or Brussels enterprises that meet the transnational criteria and regional criteria of VLAIO on the one hand and INNOVIRIS on the other. 

How much funding is there?  

This grant covers the following  

• For research organisations: 100% of the project costs.  
• For companies: between 40% and 80% of the project costs, depending on the size of your company and the focus of the project (industrial research or experimental development).  
• For other organisations: between 40% and 100% of project costs, depending on your organisation’s share of economic activities.
