Do you have plans to invest in decarbonising Walloon industry? At the request of the Walloon government, Wallonie Entreprendre is launching a dual project call to encourage low-carbon and energy-saving investments in industry and strengthen investments in value chains linked to the energy transition.

What is the purpose of the grant?
This call has two parts:
- strengthening low-carbon and energy-saving investments in industry
- strengthening investments in value chains linked to the energy transition
The first part aims to identify projects with high potential for improving efficiency or reducing greenhouse gases in the following areas:
- Improving industrial production processes, including adapting equipment to promote fuel switching
- Direct or indirect mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions (only for companies covered by the ETS)
The second part aims to promote the emergence of industrial facilities (new industrial facilities, expansion of existing industrial facilities, new production lines within existing ones) in the following areas:
- Production, reconditioning and/or recycling of batteries or battery cells
- Reuse/recycling of battery production by-products for energy storage for stationary and/or mobile applications
- Production of components for batteries or battery cells
- Production of electrolyzers in alkaline, PEM and solid oxide technologies or any other technology whose potential has been established by actual data
- Production of fuel cells in alkaline, PEM and solid oxide technologies or any other technology whose potential has been established by actual data
- Production of building blocks for electrolyzers or fuel cells in alkaline, PEM and solid oxide technologies or any technology whose potential has been established by actual data
- Reuse/recycling of by-products from the production of electrolyzers or fuel cells
Who can submit an application?
This project call is open to large companies, excluding retailers and energy companies, and companies with a cumulative energy consumption of at least 10 GWh/year – in the Walloon region.
How much funding is there?
This call has a grant budget of EUR71 million.
