With the support of OVAM, an owner can, under certain conditions, obtain a financial contribution to the clean-up costs.
What is the purpose of the grant?
The purpose of this subsidy is to provide co-financing for current or former owners of land in Flanders on which (partial) historical soil pollution has occurred and for which soil remediation is necessary.
Who can submit an application?
Current or former owners of land on which (partial) historical soil pollution has occurred and for which soil decontamination is necessary, are eligible for co-financing.
How much funding is there?
OVAM grants a maximum of 200,000 euro per co-financing request.
Applications can be submitted for several cases of soil pollution but in no case can the total cumulated amount of co-financing over a period of three calendar years exceed 200,000 euro.
What costs are eligible?
Only soil decontamination works for historical or the historical part of a mixed contamination are eligible for co-financing.
How do I apply for funding and what are the deadlines?
The application for co-financing is made by sending a fully completed, dated and signed application form to firstname.lastname@example.org.
This application is accompanied by a statement of account drawn up by a recognised type 2 soil remediation expert. A progress report is also enclosed with the application. All invoices are linked to this progress report.
